Victory! You Can Now Exclude Apps from Siri AI

AnnouncementProductOct 28, 2026

Apple's iOS 27.2 update introduces an "Exclude Apps" setting letting users block Siri AI from accessing specific apps' content. The control, found under Settings > Siri > Excluded Apps, sacrifices some features such as "onscreen awareness" when apps are excluded. Users can still disable Siri AI and revert to Siri Classic. Google's Gemini offers similar opt-in controls on Android, but they are less intuitive and lack per-app screen-context settings; Apple's approach is more straightforward.
