Pearson announced Sept. 29 it has agreed to acquire Workera, an AI-native skills platform used by ServiceNow, Accenture, and the United States Space Force; completion is anticipated in H2 2026. Workera will join Pearson's Enterprise Learning & Skills unit, and CEO Kian Katanforoosh will join its leadership team. A Workera report published on ZDNET found nearly 70% of workers use AI regularly, but almost 60% have no time to upskill. Workera is piloting Ambient, an AI skills assessment tool.
