Etsy AI training terms change (2026)

AnnouncementPolicyNov 6, 2026

Etsy's revised Terms of Use, published October 26, 2026, grant Etsy and its third-party partners and vendors rights to train AI on user-uploaded content starting December 16, 2026. Value Added Resource, founded by Liz Morton, reported that neither the Terms nor the new Privacy Policy names a general opt-out for US sellers. Continued use after notice counts as acceptance; users who disagree are told they "may close your account."
