DoorDash said it's only received 'several hundred' orders from AI agents

AnnouncementProductOct 30, 2026

DoorDash disclosed on its third-quarter earnings call that it has received only "several hundred" orders from third-party AI agents such as Muse, Instinct, and Fo, compared with an average of 3 million daily deliveries. CEO Tony Xu said most users still order through the DoorDash app, though the company wants to build relationships with agent makers and sees potential advertising opportunities. DoorDash also offers its own agents, including Ask DoorDash, plus an MCP for corporate ordering from other chatbots.
