Can AI data centers be mass-produced like cars? This startup aims to find out

AnnouncementProductOct 30, 2026

Runware told TechCrunch it aims to produce 30 megawatts of data center capacity daily at its Romania factory by 2028 — nearly 1 gigawatt monthly. The company, which builds the Sonic Inference Pod, says it has $1 billion in committed interest covering over 20 megawatts. Unlike Nvidia's Vera Rubin AI factories and DSX POD designs, Runware says it has an operating factory. CEO Flaviu Radulescu says pods can be installed within 48 hours, with a second factory opening next year.
