Crusoe has ended its $1.25 billion deal to buy 29 of Boom Supersonic's 42-megawatt Superpower turbines. Boom Supersonic CEO Blake Scholl announced the change on X, saying turbines are no longer part of Crusoe's near-term power mix at its Abilene, Texas campus, which supplies computing power to OpenAI. Crusoe, which recently raised $3.9 billion, said it will choose energy solutions per site. Boom plans to deliver about 250MW of Superpower turbines to other customers next year.
