AnnouncementPolicyOct 18, 2026

Anthropic is consulting law firms to develop fair negotiation norms for AI agents that could haggle over prices, resolve complaints, or improve contract offers, the Financial Times reports. Anthropic is also hiring lawyer fellows to test Claude on judgment-heavy legal questions. Justin Curl, a technical staff member, says quality in law is "notoriously hard to define."
