Unsloth launched the beta of its desktop app, Unsloth Studio, after surpassing 500 million downloads. The app centralizes fine-tuning and local model-running features behind a four-checkpoint security process covering code approval, weight-file gating, sandbox probes, and package scanning. Unsloth says the design responds to recent incidents, including compromised LiteLLM versions 1.82.7 and 1.82.8 published to PyPI via a breached CircleCI pipeline, and an infostealer hosted in a Hugging Face repository.
