Underdog shows off a 32MB speech model in new demo

AnnouncementModelNov 6, 2026

Underdog has released Woof, a 32MB speech generation model that can run on most devices without an internet connection. Demonstrated through a browser-based game featuring a typewriter and music tuner, the 31-million-parameter model is openly downloadable. The release follows Bark, Underdog's 167MB speech-to-text model for edge devices. Founder Sigil Wen told TechCrunch he wants users to own their data through models that run locally.
