Perplexity launches its own take on AI agents for work

AnnouncementProductNov 5, 2026

Perplexity has launched Teammates, always-on AI agents that perform multiple assigned tasks simultaneously within a workspace, competing with OpenAI's Dots and Anthropic's Claude Duet. Teammates build on Perplexity Computer, which deploys agents on user devices, and can be monitored via threads in the Perplexity app or interacted with in Slack. Access requires a subscription to Perplexity's $200-per-month Max plan. CEO Aravind Srinivas said he envisions organizations eventually having hundreds of teammates per person.
