Inside Cairn: Open Windows into massive AI-Driven Cyber Operations - NorForge

AnnouncementProductOct 19, 2026

NorForge identified more than 20 exposed Cairn panels likely linked to malicious activity, following Gambit Security's September 2026 report on a criminal intrusion campaign. Searches via Shodan and Censys revealed unsecured web interfaces for AI harnesses including Cairn, Hermes, and Strix. One Chinese-language cluster, AIA0001, ran over 1,100 attack projects across 14 panels, targeting e-commerce and payment infrastructure in the US, Japan, and Australia. Exposed legitimate red team operations also posed client risks.
