Here’s how tech leaders will self-police AI safety under Trump’s deal

AnnouncementPolicySep 30, 2026

The Joint Commitment on Frontier Responsibilities, a voluntary AI safety agreement shared by David Sacks, was signed by Sundar Pichai of Google, Dario Amodei of Anthropic, Mark Zuckerberg of Meta, Greg Brockman of OpenAI, Elon Musk of XAI, and Jensen Huang of Nvidia. The accord outlines four self-regulatory rules covering internal controls, monitoring teams, external auditors, and board oversight, but specifies no penalties. It notes it "may make sense to codify these steps into laws or regulations" later.
