Ambi, founded by former Plaud executive Peter Mo, has raised $26 million across multiple funding rounds led by Luminous Ventures and Huaqin, the company announced Monday. The startup launched apps for iPhones, Macs, and Apple Watch that continuously listen to capture context and offer real-time suggestions during meetings. Mo said ambient capture is off by default and recordings are not stored, though disclosure to third parties remains the user's responsibility. Ambi plans its own hardware device.
