TypeSafe AI raised $870 million at a $7.5 billion valuation in a round led by Andreessen Horowitz, with participation from Sequoia and existing investor DCVC. The startup develops Jev, a transformer-based model that outputs probabilities, or "calibrated decisions," rather than text. TypeSafe claims a third of Fortune 500 companies already use Jev since its September 15 launch. The company was co-founded in 2024 by Diogo Almeida, Sasha Sheng, and Erik Gafni.
