DeepSeek released an official desktop app for DeepSeek Harness (v0.2 preview), with installers for macOS (Apple silicon) and Windows 64-bit. The open-source agent harness treats every layer, including the agent loop, as a plugin, and supports non-DeepSeek models via OpenAI-compatible endpoints. v0.2 adds plugin management, file and diff review, document handling, scheduled automation tasks, and four session modes. DeepSeek cautions that compatibility-breaking changes will follow between builds.
