Barclays expects Claude Code adoption to reach 50% of its developer population by the end of 2026, expanding its collaboration with Anthropic across global operations. Claude already powers Barclays' Colleague Knowledge Assistant, adopted by more than 16,000 colleagues and handling over one million searches since 2025, and processes roughly 120,000 daily emails in its Global Markets business. Anne Marie Darling said the expansion aims to transform how work gets done within a secure, well-governed environment.
