According to the FT, Anthropic told investors that quarterly revenue rose nearly 50% to $16.8bn ahead of a planned IPO. The company reported quarterly revenue of about $4.8bn in Q1, $11.5bn in Q2, and $16.8bn in Q3, with $1.70 earned per $1 spent on computing power in Q3 and adjusted operating margins of 11%. Anthropic also said distillation by rival AI labs accounted for 5-7% of revenue and had been cut back "materially" in Q3.
