Anthropic Launches OSS Scanner, a Free AI Vulnerability Scanner

AnnouncementProductOct 25, 2026

Anthropic launched the Anthropic OSS Scanner, a free, opt-in vulnerability scanner for critical open-source projects, on October 8. The tool runs Anthropic's strongest models, including Claude Mythos, on enrolled codebases and sends reports directly to maintainers without human review. In the first 11 days, it produced 77 critical and 803 high model-rated findings. Anthropic reported 85 of 97 audited findings (88%) met its disclosure bar, and wolfSSL validated 72 of 74 reports. The design borrows from Google's OSS-Fuzz.
