Amazon Web Services CEO Matt Garman published a blog post of more than 3,000 words urging public support for AI data center projects, warning that moratoriums could harm the US economy and national security. Garman said over 100 data center moratoriums are being considered nationwide. Amazon also announced a "Data Center Commitment" including a pledge to invest more than $1 billion in neighboring communities, and said it no longer uses nondisclosure agreements with government agencies.
