1Password will let you hand your data security over to your preferred AI agent - Engadget

AnnouncementProductOct 22, 2026

1Password launched 1Password for Agents, a platform letting AI agents use stored logins without seeing usernames, passwords, or vault contents. It works with Meta's Muse, OpenAI's Dots, SpaceXAI's Grok Bot, and Claude. Agents verify identity with a key, and users approve access per session; credentials and MFA codes are injected through a secure channel. Chief product officer Aashish Tripathi called 1Password "the trust layer" for agent experiences. Pricing and availability remain unannounced.
