Hugging Face published a tutorial by ben burtenshaw, shaun smith, merve, and Pedro Cuenca demonstrating how Claude Opus 4.5 can generate agent skills for writing CUDA kernels, which are then transferred to smaller open source models. The tool "upskill" evaluates model performance and token usage with and without skills. Results showed skills improved accuracy for some models but not all, and token usage varied—decreasing for some models while increasing for others.
