OpenAI and ServiceNow expand partnership across enterprise workflows

OpenAI and ServiceNow have broadened a partnership first announced in January, aiming to embed OpenAI models and agents across ServiceNow's enterprise products while linking ServiceNow workflows to ChatGPT and Codex. A new integration will let workers pull business context and take workflow actions inside ChatGPT — for example, an IT staff member could find similar incidents, gauge the risk of a change, and update a record without switching tools. Customers connect ChatGPT to their own ServiceNow instance, and ServiceNow's Action Fabric enforces existing permissions and business rules. Planned capabilities span application development, where a Codex integration in ServiceNow's AI Workflow Factory would assist developers; cybersecurity, combining OpenAI's security tools with ServiceNow's asset and identity context; and voice, allowing people to describe an AI use case aloud within ServiceNow's Super Intelligence Control Tower. ServiceNow also intends to give its entire workforce access to ChatGPT Work and Codex, while OpenAI itself is adopting ServiceNow workflows in its own operations. The move signals deepening ties between major AI vendors and enterprise software platforms.
