Alphabet is designing a new server chip, internally called "Frozen v2," to run its Gemini models more efficiently, The Information reported. The chip could be six to 10 times more efficient than Google's existing AI chips and is targeted for release in 2028. Google did not confirm or deny the report to TechCrunch. The news boosted Alphabet's stock roughly 3% ahead of its earnings report.
