OpenAI's August 6 announcement stated GPT-5.6 Sol was updated to be "more reliable with facts and provide more focused answers." Promptwatch, which monitors responses across ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini, also reported that ChatGPT appeared to reduce Reddit sourcing in searches by August 18.
