OpenAI launched a Virtual Try On feature in ChatGPT that generates photos of users wearing clothing from uploaded images, using its ChatGPT Images 2.5 model. The feature resembles one Google added to Search in 2025. Users can also save products to their Library. Uploaded images may be used for training unless users opt out. OpenAI previously offered Instant Checkout, now discontinued, and runs merchant ads in chats.
