Build specialized multimodal models with LFM3

AnnouncementModelOct 27, 2026

LiquidAI's LFM3-1.7B outperforms LFM2.5-2.6B while using 35% fewer parameters, according to the company's announcement of LFM3, its new generation of Liquid Foundation Models. LFM3 places six 2B-class models—text, vision, audio, omni, and decision—on one shared backbone, LFM3-1.7B-Base, which was pre-trained on 22T tokens and supports a 256K context window. The text model fits in roughly 1 GB at 4-bit precision, and every model fine-tunes on a single GPU for edge deployment.
