Asana used OpenAI Codex to remove an outdated testing system called Enzyme in two weeks, completing work previously estimated to take five years. Model and infrastructure costs totaled approximately $12,000, compared with Asana's roughly $6 million staffing estimate. CTO Amritansh Raghav noted that agents can give engineers "more room for craft." Asana now plans to test agents on other migrations and rewrites it once considered impractical.
