Adobe has updated its Project Indigo camera app with generative AI editing tools, marking a shift from its original computational photography focus. The AI Playground suite, currently being tested with a small percentage of users, includes Styles, Object Editing, Photo Guidance, and Custom Edit features. Notably, the update relies on Google's Nano Banana model rather than Adobe's Firefly. Adobe fellow Marc Levoy says a paid version may follow if the experiment proves popular.
